Maria Taylor Bio

Maria Taylor is in her third season as a college analyst & reporter across ESPN’s networks. In the spring of 2014, it was announced that Taylor would join the SEC Network  where she would serve as a studio host, sideline reporter, and volleyball/basketball analyst.  In 2013, she reported from the sidelines on ESPN2’s weekly Saturday night primetime college football broadcast in addition to the 2014 Orange Bowl, her second consecutive year covering the BCS bowl game. In her inaugural season as an ESPN College Football sideline reporter, Taylor worked the sidelines for ESPN/ABC Saturday afternoon broadcasts.  Additionally, she has been an analyst and reporter on ESPN’s coverage of both the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and Women’s Volleyball National Championship for the previous two years.
 
Taylor is also an analyst on the NCAA Women’s Basketball Selection Show and NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Preview Show
 
Prior to 2012, Taylor was a reporter, host, and analyst for IMG College at the University of Georgia. During that time period she also freelanced at Comcast Sports South as a Georgia High School and SEC football sideline reporter, while also contributing to studio shows including The Dawg Report, SEC Men’s Basketball Tonight, and SportsNite. In addition to her work with CSS, she has also worked as a freelance women's basketball analyst for Fox Sports South, Raycom Sports, Turner Sports, and the ACC Digital Network. 
 
Taylor attended the University of Georgia where she played volleyball and basketball for the Bulldogs. She was named to the All-SEC volleyball team three times and was also a member of the USA A2 National Volleyball team. She graduated from Georgia in 2009 with a degree in broadcast news. She returned to her alma mater to pursue her Master of Business Administration which she completed in May of 2013. She is a native of Alpharetta, Georgia.
